This was a great assignment to do as a future teacher. Going to Google Site Creator is a site where you can go to and create your own web-site about you, your future class, and anything else that you find may be helpful in allowing parents to learn a little about you and how you will be running things in your classroom.
While I was creating this site I did find some things harder than others but the best way I learned how to create this web site was to actually google information and also watch videos on how to create one.
I think all teachers should actually create a site like this and make sure it stays updated at all times. This will actually always be beneficial to both you and the parents of students.  One real good concern that many may have is the price you will have to pay in order to create your own site, well guess what this one is free of charge. It allows you to even design the site how you would like it; color, background,text, and font. Some parents like to know ahead of time things that may be or will be going on in weeks to come in the classroom so this is a good way to be able to keep parents up to date on things. You will be able to post a weekly or monthly calendar on assignments that take place in school and for homework. Technology today is so great in order for this to be allowed. I knew that people could create websites but I did not know how until I actually had to do this one myself. Great experience.I think that the NETS that promote and model design citizenship and responsibility is actually great knowledge on this kind of site.
